Sweet day with easy miles down to the Inn at Long Trail. Before I could enjoy a cold one I made the short but steep hike to the summit of Killington Peak. The morning was cloudy as we could see from our sleeping bags through the open windows. When I saw the clouds breaking up I headed for the summit with a belly-full of Mac'n'Cheese. Unfortunately the clouds never really cleared while I was up there.

The hike down to the Inn was nondescript. I made a quick stop at the new Churchill Scott shelter to see it and and sign the shelter log. Then I was on VT 4 hiking the mile to Sherburne Pass and the famous Inn.

Now I'm showered and eating a Shepherds Pie in McGrath's Pub. My clothes are all in the dryer. Life is good. Left Foot is here as well, and he says his girlfriend is coming tonight. I think Karen is due in late this eveneing, maybe around 7.
