I've come 90 miles down the CT and am staying at the Fireside Inn in Breckenridge. Time for a zero day and some R&R. The Minnesota hiker is here! Damn I wish I wasn't so sucky with names. With only the data book had to retrace his steps back to Kenosha Pass and bum a ride. He couldn't find the trail on the other side of the pass. He is going to skip over the 10 Mile range too and restart the CT at Copper Mountain. He's given up on thruhiking the Colorado Trail and has decided to do that section and the Sawatch Range while hiking up some 14ers as well. Good luck my friend! At this point I'm taking a rest day and am going to figure out what to do next. My leaning is to wait a little for the snow levels to come down a bit. I like the challenges of snow travel but the current conditions are a little much to deal with if I want to be able to finish the Great Colorado Loop on time. |
