Start Destination Daily Miles / Total
Marble North Fork Lost Trail Creek Trail at the North Fork (really!) 4 today / 726.05 total

Had a great breakfast as Slow Groovin and then picked up my package from the campground office. It isn't my standard bounce box so it didn't have much besides clean clothes (no laundromat in Marble) and enough food to get me to my next resupply. Then I took my second shower in as many days. Such luxury. The town information center and coffee shop had a public computer with quite expensive internet access so I was able to check my class registration and good thing I did. My class had been canceled so I re-registered for the online version. (Database Administration if you were wondering) I couldn't really get it to work with my primary email so I couldn't really do that like I wanted to but I'll be able to do that in another 3 days.

I went back to the BBQ place for lunch as the clouds built up and waited out a light shower. Before I knew it the time was 4 pm and I had to hustle up the road to the trailhead. I had planned on getting to Geneva Lake 6 miles and 3,400 ft higher but only got 4 miles and 3,000 ft higher before the sun set. Still not bad as most of the vertical is out of the way.

In my tent I enjoyed a dinner of BBQ brisket that I humped up from town. That's a nice treat. I've been warned about bears since Telluride and have taken it with a grain of salt but there are some aggressive bears around here and a tenter was attacked camping near Aspen by a bear just the other day. I should have brought my Glock. Next time.
