Back on the trail and happy to be here. I think today bodes well for snow conditions too. After the taxi dropped me off it was a 1000+ foot ascent straight away. Fortunately the route receives a lot of sun so there was little snow. Along the ridgetop there were some drifts but they were mostly avoidable or quick to cross. Surprisingly on the descent there wsa almost no snow. What a difference a couple days makes! After that little mountain there were just a couple hills on the rest of the hike.

Section 6 of the CT is finally done. I'm camped on the other side of Highway 9 about a half mile up. It isn't a great spot but I'm very happy to be here considering I expected to be miles back. I was lucky with snow today. What will tomorrow bring?
