Another cold day but this time with building clouds in the afternoon. At 17:50 it still does not look like rain but maybe tomorrow we will not be so lucky.

Eric stayed behind in Sahagun so "we" consists of a new Quebecian we met a couple days ago, Germain and Jeanette, Satoe, and myself. This is a wonderful brick refugio in some sort of parish building. We are just sleeping on foam mattresses in the upstairs bedroom, but that is frankly more comfortable than some beds. There is a nicely stocked kitchen and the cheerful hospetelera in the house opposite is selling us wine at the price of 2 € for 1 bottle or 3 € for 2 bottles and it is pretty good stuff. For dinner, I may return to the town restaurant. I enjoyed lunch there earlier and the store was a little spartan.

I noticed from the register that Rolf the Dutch lad I met in France was here 4 days ago. I wonder how he is doing. It appears that he has not been traveling with anyone although on that day 2 others pilgrims signed in so maybe that changed.

*&^!!*&# The three Basques just arrived. I thought they were either off the Camino or far behind. Last I saw the guy had no idea where the 2 women were. Should be interesting.

Update #1: Damn, I think I made an error in planning on eating in the restaurant tonight. Satoe, Germaine, and Jeanette have created one hell of a repast.

Update #2: t turns out these fine walking companions of mine included me in their meal plans, and what a meal it was!
