Tusayon isn't much. Basically it's a few hotels, restaurants, and souvenir shops. I'm staying at the 7 Mile Inn and figured out my stay in the Grand Canyon. The Park Service makes permits easy for thruhikers so I got just what I wanted over the phone a day ahead of time. Basically they seem to break all the rules to get you across. So I'll be doing short but sometimes hard miles across the big ditch. IT adds days to the hike but this will be one of the most memorable stretches and I'm almost done anyway.
