I'm finally through with Buckhorn and Four Peaks Mountains. I left the Four Peaks Wilderness and made it to Pigeon Spring. Sadly I had to stop here and sleep next to the water since I can't carry as much as I need. In the morning I'll refill everything to capacity including myself before leaving. I'm able to use my ex-fuel bottle (32 oz Gatorade) for water now too. That should help a lot, and while I was laying around here I made some duct-tape repairs to my least damaged Nalgene canteen. It will still leak but I should be able to fill it in and pour it without losing too much water. I'll have to carry it upside down though since the holes are in the bottom. If that works then I think I'm back to okay water capacity. I almost had a water shortage today and it would have sucked.

In other news I met some nice weekenders – a whole troupe of seniors heading south. They met Lint yesterday and asked about my foot. Incidentally I re-taped my foot at the next water source and it's feeling okay. I'm sure the short day helped.

– A thruhiker named Foxtrot just hiked by – which reminds me that I met "The Backpacking Guy" down by the Alder Saddle water source where I taped my foot. I gave him my water report printouts for the next passages until Pine. I use something else for that info, but that is his primary source for water data except they weren't in his last maildrop.

I'm getting tired of writing journal entries about my foot. I'm considering stopping journalling until I have something positive to say.
