Hiking along Reavis Creek to site of the old ranch was refreshing. All the water and cool winds made it seem more like Colorado than Arizona. There was even smooth pine needle paved trail for a while. There wasn't much left to see at the ranch but I took a few pictures anyway. After hiking up and away from the ranch the terrain returned to desert scrub-land. I'm planning my mileage to both take it easy and walk into Roosevelt Lake Marina early two days from now. So tonight I stopped in an unnamed drainage below Two Bar Ridge. I got lucky finding a small spot next to the dry creek bed. Tomorrow I'll stop about 3 miles short of the marina so I can pick up my supply box the next morning and have most of the day to hike out. |
