Well my foot wasn't feeling any better, in fact it seemed to be a bit worse. I limped over to the office and paid for another day. With the pain a little sharper and better defined I was able to consult Dr. Google and narrow it down from "generic overuse injury" to "extensor tendonitis." Interesting, but academic, as most anything like that is treated with the same Rest, Immobilization, Compression, Elevation (RICE) treatment. I taped up my ankle, experimented with some compression and stayed in my room most of the day. Later that night I discovered that the Circle K didn't have HEET, my stove fuel. Nor did the next gas station. And yesterday I didn't find it at the Family Dollar. That is worrisome. |
