I'm off across the desert for 6 days or so to the oasis of Superior. I sent my bounce box ahead to the Copper Mtn. Motel. Then I was back on the trail after being helpfully dropped off. Baja is staying another day or two then biking to the next station so I'll see him whiz by later.

The trail was enjoyable and easy today. I put in 10 miles with only a half day of walking. I'm most of the way across the low, rolling Black Hills. There are a lot of birds and lizards out and I saw 5 deer. There is something that looks like a volcano in the distance and behind me are great views of where I've been.

There are a remarkable number of bugs attracted by my headlamp so I'm calling it a night. Goodnight!
